Like the dreamcolor, this monitor uses a IPS panel. The same panel technology used in FSI monitors etc.
Is it accurate? Yes. On par with the $1,000 NEC's.
Can it be calibrated to REC 709 standards? Yes.
It is not as easy as the dreamcolor, you have to do some calibrating on your own and know your way around these things, but it can be done.
