HP LP2475W - a reasonable compromise?

Hi,
I've searched the Cow frequently to see if there is any word out there about the HP LP2475W - but all users seem to be saying is that they "think about getting one".
Is there anybody out there who actually has one, or has first or second hand information about it? The reviews on other sites are full of praise.
I am specifically looking for a monitor being fed via HDMI through my KONA LHI (from new Mac Pro) for video editing and some color grading (FCP, AE, Color).
I am also looking at the Dreamcolor, which has been extensively discussed in this forum - but is four times the cost, for the 2 extra bits. I am sure these bits are worth it, however: Can I get away with Dreamcolor's little 8bit brother?
Information greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Robert
