For a progressive HD release at 1080, why not the Sony CineAlta F900 or 950? That's the cat-daddy for progressive capture and Steven and George used it in Star Wars. Theatrical release is 24p so you'd be shooting for your product specifications. Pulling down other material wouldn't be that difficult. I've done it in fire* for normal motion footage it looks fine.
