I hear what you're saying about going to someone with a deck. But I still need to understand a few things. Perhaps you can help.

1. Do you gain any quality by capturing DVCPRO HD as 10bit uncompressed to a Raid? If so explain.

2. Is converting to uncompressed on capture any different then media managing native DVCPRO HD (that's been captured) to uncompressed?

3. If capturing native DVCPRO HD, will I retain the same quality through firewire as capturing with HD-SDI?

If you could answer these questions it would be a big help.
