If it is for teaching purposes for example:

Metallica is bad for your hearing training video, case study includes tracks from the band. OK

Surfing extends your stamina training for doctors, has fast cut tracks from metallica for more dynamic video. Illiegal.

The subjects used has to be the focus of the training/teaching matter.

My sister is a professor and uses copyrighted material for such purpose.
