Great explaination and (once again) good advice. I also have a couple of older TROMPETER BNC patchbays that I'd like to use. I was only going to use for the component and composite signals but might I use for SDI as well (or is that pushing it)?

On the topic of patch bays...I read your article in the COW magazone last year where you recommended the Behringer PX3000 audio patchbay. Of course I ran out and bought one but haven't set it up yet. All the connections are simply 1/4 mono phono plugs correct? Is Markertek pretty much the best place to buy the cables?
