Michael,
Bob is correct in that 10Gb is a transport method just like fiber. On the other end of 10Gb, you could have SATA, SCSI or Fiber drives, it really doesn't matter.
Now if your asking if 10Gb vs fiber is a viable transport for moving HD? Absolutely. (Not to be confused with 10Gb over Fiber)
We showed this off at NAB. Capture from an F950 thru a RaveHD that was actually writing to another RaveHD, our Head/Node concept and utilizing 10Gb for this very thing.
There are plenty of companies offering up 10Gb solutions but I wouldn't jump unless you really do your homework.
