Insert Editing Video and/or Audio with SONY HDV F500

System: FCP 5, G5, Kona 2 card (with the latest drivers), 5.6TB RAID, SONY HDW-F500 HDCAM deck.

We have just been told that a bunch of masters we sent to the network ages ago have been rejected due to technical issues. The media for these shows has long-ago been deleted. Reloading the media is not a big problem, but the rendering necessary on the entire show (30 minutes) takes around 8 hours
