Hello James,
thank you for sharing this info but be careful, less noise means less RPM and less airflow, you could risk a Multibridge Pro failure (and don't forget to switch on the second PSU :-)
If you'd want to not to use the second PSU, I think you can connect the new fan to the original fan socket, the third wire is the one to monitor fan speed.
