UPDATE: I now have the BlackMagic properly recognised by the windows, with no abnormal mesages etc. (regarding device performing faster, etc) but still no BM control panel control nor can i launch media express, just tells me theres no BM device found.

Yes I have the Usb Video Desktop installer instaled (from the CD)

What is just the BASIC intall requirement for the Shuttle?, just the USB 3 Desktop video drivers + media express ?...these are the 2 things i have
