Media Express 2.0

hi there
i want to use Media Express next to FCP why
because the system we want to invest in is used by 2 editor's but also by
a (new) dedicated encoding engineer i have the feel that this guy
should not go to all the fuss of FCP when he does not need all the functionality.
next to our production services we facilitate a archive from a educational organization this goes from B/Cformat to DVD to Umatic to all kinds of media format's
can Media Express be a good ingestool??
greet
Maurice
