Thanks luke for the informative reply. Testing the card with my dvd player must have been part of the problem like you said the copy protection. The other issue was the settings you mentioned. I probably didn't have the setting coming out the cam matching the setting in the control panel.
So now it captures and works great for live previewing to my 32" lcd panel. Really cool.
What I need to do now is figure out the best workflow to capture uncompressed via either an hdmi(hv30) or hvx200 with 24p and remove the pulldown. I don't think it will be able to do remove it on capture right.
Any recommendations...? Maybe this is more of a fcp question...?
