PCI-X Cards on Windows 64
by Richard Scobie on Apr 8, 2008 at 3:45:33 am

I have just built a new PC based on the Tyan S5396 http://www.tyan.com/product_board_spec.aspx?pid=562 , 2.8GHz Quad, 16GB RAM and a fully patched Windows XP 64.

Installing a PCI-X SD Decklink Pro has been completely unsuccessful - the OS see the card but the driver does not. Have spent time with support on it but they are out of ideas.

Has anyone built a similar specced machine and been able to install the PCI-e version of the cards successfully?

None of the local suppliers are prepared to get a card in for me to try and I do not wish to spend money, only to have to eBay it later.

Thanks.
