I am amazed that you are getting these results with only 4 10k SCSI drives. So the answer to your question is yes, but I have tried this in the past, and never got your results. Your specs are similar to a loaded XServe RAID - so either something is up, or you have a miracle on your hands.
You did not state if you were doing SD or HD work. For SD work, even if these specs are wrong, you will still be ok, but for HD work, you will probably suffer if you don't have more drives. Today, few people use SCSI drives, and more are using Fibre, SCSI to ATA (like HUGE and Medea), or SATA. Standard SCSI has become "old school", and certainly expensive.
But hey - if it's working - go for it.
