cleaning tape heads...

My camera isn't properly reading timecode on tapes in playback and I'm getting a blue screen... I tried running the head cleaning tape (this is the first time I've tried it) and I am still getting no reading on the tapes when I test the playback. Is this a problem that requires bringing the camera in for professional cleaning? If so, does anyone have recommendations for a service center in the Los Angeles area? Thanks...
