HDX900 and firewire

Hello,
I am interested in the HDX900 camcorder.
Sometimes I work for a company that uses P2 camcorders and I would like to know if it is easy to capture and edit material from a HDX900 camcorder into their system?
I guess I could use the firewire. But how fast is it? How long does it take for example to capture one hour HD material?
When you have captured the clips from a DVCPRO HD tape, is it the same file format that is created as if it was a file from a P2 card?
Goran
