Yes and No

Yes you can capture whatever format you choose to shoot to the Firestore and to a tape at the same time.

The HDX900 lays 1080i60 to tape-- so the format on the firestore would be the same.
You would have to use the pulldown removal in your NLE to get to a 23.98 psf video file.

XDCamHD does it the exact same way- only giving 1080i60 out the FW and SDI ports.
