H.264 audio/video out of sync in Quicktime Player

I'm in the process of converting a series of DVD's to H.264 for a client - several encode setting per video, some streaming, and a couple for download. I'm basically using settings for Episode that they came up with. However, I only have the demo version of Episode Desktop. I use Sorenson Squeeze on WinXP. Here's my workflow...

Transcode the VOB's into Quicktimes with Cinematize.
Transcode those with Squeeze.

Now, the problem is, when I play the resulting MP4's locally with Quicktime Player, there is a very noticeable sync problem. However...when the same files are played in any other player that I have that can play H.264, the sync issue isn't present. This includes Adobe Media Player, Media Player Classic and Longtail's Desktop Player. ONLY when played in QT does the sync issue show itself.

Here's what I've tried...

1 - Several different H.264 presets in Squeeze.
2 - Transcode with Adobe Media Encoder
3 - Ripped the VOB's to AVI's with Cinematize and used those to transcode to H.264.
4 - Used the VOB's straight into Squeeze to H.264.
5 - Set my audio settings for the transcode to match the audio specs of the source files.
6 - Used Quicktime Pro to transcode to H.264.
7 - Used Episode Desktop (demo version) to make a 30 second H.264
8 - Had a buddy with a Mac come over and we installed the demo version of Episode Desktop on it and made another 30 second H.264.
9 - Tried playing the H.264's on multiple machines and multiple versions of Quicktime.

I'm at my wit's end...and I can't seem to find anyone else experiencing the same problem. I wonder, though, if it could be that very few actually play MP4's locally with QT...since it's more of a streaming format?
