I think that one important point has been left out of the various comparative discussions. Yes ON2VP6 requires Flash 8 which limits potential exposure. But by the same criteria; H.264 requires QT 7 or higher. Given the general public's lag time with updates (an unknown variable); they both have attached risks. I have always favored QuickTime myself; but have recieved a lot of feedback from clients, who report lots of "active X" flack from PC users trying to load QT (particularly for the 1st time). These are objections that most marketing folks don't want to hear. For these reasons I am becoming much more invested in Flash movies. All statistics aside; a get a very strong feeling that it is much more universaly accepted at this time.
