wma9 advanced contra vma9standard

I am compressing an 7 minuts web video for my company. It is mainly a person standig i front of a wall talking about what the company can offer our customers. Not much movement in the clip. The video has until now been compressed in H.264 and wma9 standard trough compressor 2. The latter with the help of flip4mac. I am now compressing it with wma9 Advanced put it seem to ned quite a lot of processing power as it compresses significantly slower than vma9. When your video has a size of 320x240 will the file reduction of wma9 advanced
justify the extended encoding time?

Regarding wma9 standard comparing to H.264 I am suprised how well it holds it candle to the H.264 and I have found a "weekness" in the possibility you have with H.264 through compressor.

In my quest to optimize the file size I used the variable bit rate audio option with my wma version comparied to the same file with a CBR compression at the same bit rate the file decreased from 10.1MB down to 7.7MB

If i want to use VBR compression using the H.264 codec in compressor i get a bit rate option of 96-112. That is significantly more than needed in this case. Does anyone know if it is possible to lower that?
