Re: Cruiser Bob of Maui, huh?

Your wife was correct to be scared. The downhill bike trip on Haleakala has over 130 curves, many of them 180+ degrees. I closed Cruiser Bob's in 1996 because I was sued out of existence by a sue happy family that took our insurance company for $1,000,000.

I wanted to challenge in court but got the royal shaft by my partners and my insurance company. Two good things came out of Cruiser Bob's for me . . . both videography.

1. I shot over 150 trips down the mountain over 12 years, with cameras in every mount including helmet cam.

2. When I started looking pretty pro, with a JVC helmetcam and a Betacam SP in a backpack, the Park Rangers stopped me with a new law. No cameras (still or video) allowed on any two wheel vehicle in the National Park.

So I've got an inside edge on my upcoming "Cruiser Bob's Volcano Bicycle Adventures" DVD, which is due for release in late summer.

It's a feature length DVD with great slack key Hawaiian music and lots more. Spread the word and help me get back on track.

Thanks,

Bob Kiger aka Cruiser Bob
