P2 clips just don't work.

So we have tried the following with the avid clips that originated from P2 in the AVID:
Consolidate (Any HD source format) with no conversion: AVID crashes.
Transcode to DNxHD 180: automatic duck fails.
Transcode to DNxHD 120: automatic duck fails.
Transcode to DNxHD 180 and then again to DNxHD 120: automatic duck fails.
Transcode to 1080i 1:1 AVID codec: automatic duck fails.
When automatic duck fails, it replaces the media with a graphic that states it can not find the source media when it did the conversion process.
However, all the clips originating on XDCAM HD and HDV, work when transcoded to DNxHD and then imported into FCP using Automatic duck.
Weird.
Thanks
Francois
Regards
Francois
