Camera and DVD system for sports events

I am looking for a camera system that is suitable for filming sports. The situation i am in currently is this: I have been asked to shoot 2 games a week of football and it needs to be given in a DVD format as soon after the game has completed as possible.

It needs to be reasonably good quality, but certainly not the best available. It is used for tribunal decisions and also for game reviews.

What i think i need is a camera that shoots either straight to DVD, or one that shoots to tape/HDD and also to DVD, or straight to tape/HDD and has a system that can be added on and have a copy made straight to DVD.

Is this possible? I have seen it done around this area before but have failed to get any information on it right now.
