News: Ascent Media Promotes Lee to V.P. Features Sales
by Cow News Droid on Jul 23, 2008 at 5:40:11 pm

Feldman Also Joins Feature Sales Team

(Santa Monica, California--July 23, 2008) Ascent Media Group (AMG) has promoted Jackie Lee to the newly-created post of Vice President of Feature Sales/Creative Services Group. Lee will lead the sales effort for post production facilities in the group that provide Digital Intermediate and other services for feature films.

Those facilities include Company 3, Riot and Encore Hollywood. She will also assist motion picture studios, independent producers and other AMG clients in packaging post production services to best meet their projects’ creative, technical, budgetary and delivery requirements.

Additionally, Ascent Media Group has promoted Dave Feldman to work with Lee as Director of Feature Sales. Feldman previously served as a Digital Intermediate Producer at AMG’s Encore Hollywood facility.

In announcing Lee’s appointment, Stefan Sonnenfeld, Senior Vice President of Business Development for Ascent Media’s Creative Services Group, said that Lee will play an important role in helping film producers take advantage of emerging digital production services. “The film industry is in a period of rapid transition from a production model based on physical media to one based on digital media. It’s an exciting change, but it also requires wise stewardship,” Sonnenfeld said. “Jackie has broad experience with file-based workflows and other emerging technologies and can provide studios with the expert guidance they will need to manage their projects efficiently and meet their creative goals.”

Lee joined Ascent Media Group in 2005 as Executive Producer for DI Services at Company 3. She became part of AMG’s Feature Sales team a year later. During that time, she has facilitated post production work on dozens of films, ranging from studio blockbusters to independent films and documentaries. Last year, she coordinated the development of a new workflow at Riot to support post work for Game, one of the first films shot with the Red One digital cinema camera. Other key projects include Untraceable, The Jane Austen Book Club, Blades of Glory, Into the Wild and Deliver Us from Evil, the latter a 2007 Academy Award nominee for Best Documentary Feature.

A native of Australia, Lee attended Charles Sturt University, Bathurst, before beginning her career with Digital Productions. She worked in sales and marketing and later served as Executive Producer. Her early credits include Thunderstruck, the first feature to be posted in Australia via the DI process.

Feldman joined Encore Hollywood in 2006. His projects include Nothing but the Truth (Rod Lurie, director; Yari Film Group), Assassination of a High School President (Brett Simon director, Yari Film Group) and Pathfinder (Marcus Nispel, director; Fox). Feldman has also worked as a Digital Intermediate Producer with Company 3. A graduate of New York University, Feldman worked as a freelance editor for 12 years, earning credits as an assistant on more than a dozen titles, including Angela’s Ashes, Runaway Bride and Evita.
