News: Cine-tal Systems to Showcase LCD Monitors, Portable Video and DI Processor, and Color Management Technology at IBC
by Cow News Droid on Jul 22, 2008 at 6:41:46 pm

(July 22, 2008) At IBC 2008, Cine-tal Systems plans to display its entire line of display, image processing and color management solutions. Featured products will include DAVIO™, the company’s new, portable HD video and DI image processing system, which will be seen in Europe for the first time.

Cine-tal Systems will also show the latest versions of its acclaimed Cinemage precision monitors and eL1000 image processors.

Additionally, Cine-tal will showcase cineSpace, the industry-leading color management technology that it recently acquired from Rising Sun Research. The company will demonstrate how it has adapted cineSpace to support display profiling and LUT generation matching with its display and image processing systems.

IBC 2008 will be held at the RAI Centre in Amsterdam, September 11-16, 2008. Cine-tal Systems can be seen at Booth 7.H20.

Cine-tal Systems’ Cinemage display systems are revolutionizing critical monitoring for digital cinema acquisition, post production and DI. They combine the company’s leading edge Intelligent Display Server (IDS) with a calibrated, full-resolution LCD display. Cinemage provides quantitative video analysis, color pre-visualization, video signal quality assurance, real time collaboration between acquisition and post production, and an integrated Omnitek™ Dual Link Waveform Monitor and Vectorscope.

DAVIO is a smaller, lower-cost alternative to the company’s acclaimed eL 1000 processor. The device is highly configurable and can be applied to wide array of production, post-production and broadcast workflows. It is also scalable. Multiple DAVIOs can be combined to handle complex tasks or to keep pace with the growing demands of the user.

“We received a lot of requests from our customers for an image processing device that was flexible, portable, affordable and easy to use,” said Cine-tal Systems CTO and Vice President of Engineering Peter Polit. “It is based on the same award winning technology as the eL 1000 and our Cinemage precision monitors, and we expect it to be embraced by an even wider range of users.”

cineSpace is the most widely used color management technology for film and television production. It is employed by production and post production facilities worldwide to ensure that all of their displays match and conform to a specified output medium, such as a particular film stock or video format. It ensures that the images artists see on their screens are identical to how they will look when projected in a movie theater or shown on television.

Cine-tal Systems is currently integrating cineSpace software technology with the display management software it has been developing for several years. “By combining our display management software with the cineSpace color management software, we are providing a comprehensive solution for color management and display management,” said Cine-tal Systems CEO Rob Carroll.
