(WIESBADEN, Germany--June 20, 2008) Panasonic PBITS Professional & Broadcast Systems has appointed Nela Pertl as product manager, Pro Video Systems, with special responsibility for AVHCD products.

"She will focus on the penetration of the AVCHD product lines as part of Panasonic's aggressive promotion of these innovative technologies."
Fluent in five European languages, Ms. Pertl joins Panasonic from L'Oreal, where she was product manager, Professional Products Division, based in Zagreb, Croatia.
