(Los Angeles, California--May 13, 2008) Zoic Studios is excited to welcome 3D Supervisor Paul Ghezzo to the company. Ghezzo is part of Zoic's award-winning Episodic Division and is currently supervising production on a variety of pilots, new shows and name brand programs for the Fall television season.
Over the past several years Paul has held supervisory positions at several award winning commercial companies. The position at Zoic marks his return to Episodic television.
"Zoic has an extensive history of exciting, quality creative in a myriad of genres," says Ghezzo. "By joining the team here, I have the opportunity to contribute to a variety of projects with people I admire."
"We are really excited to have Paul here as part of the Zoic team," says Zoic Creative Director/VFX Supervisor Andrew Orloff. "He comes from a solid background in the technical side of CG and has an awesome artistic eye as well. We are already working a few new projects together that are really going to blow people away."
Paul Ghezzo, a Southern California native, has been enamored with movie magic since childhood. Ghezzo's love for all that is artistic led him to metal casting, machining, molding, sculpting, and fabrication. These talents translated to his experience in the film industry as a prop designer and fabricator.
With over a decade of creating practical effects and props, Ghezzo's artistic talents, education, and work experience came together on the digital front. Creating, and managing content for episodic TV and commercials, film, video games, and stereo-scopic IMAX, Ghezzo has worked for Foundation Imaging, Sway Studio, Ring of Fire, Rhythm and Hues, The Syndicate, and Digital Domain, among others.
Ghezzo's filmography ranges from high profile commercials for Nextel, Chevrolet, Chrysler, Lexus, Infiniti, Target Stores, Six-Flags, and ESPN to the Sci-Fi Channel's "Battlestar Galactica", Joss Whedon's "Firefly," and features Warner Brothers "The Last Samurai" and Sony Pictures' "Spider-Man 2".
Zoic is an award-winning Digital Studio involved in producing lauded commercials and viral advertising as well as innovative content for episodic television, feature films and the gaming industry. From visual effects, to live action production and specialty shooting, Zoic Studios imprint can be seen in such compelling entertainment as "CSI: Crime Scene Investigations," "Fringe" and "Dollhouse", spots for Craftsman, HP, VW, and projects for EA, Gamefly and Sony. Zoic Studios has offices in Los Angeles and Vancouver.
