Seminar #1: Multi-Media Content - Fair Use, Faces and Licensing
Presented by Beth Russell from Russell Law
Beth will discuss fair use; we'll survey the different types of licenses required when fair use is not available; and we'll touch briefly on the legal implications of using people's names and images.
Seminar #2: Webcasting - Benefits and Best Practices
Presented by Sonic Foundry
Webcasting has been around for several years and yet the benefits and the production value of webcasts rarely reach their full potential. The reasons for this are the speed at which the webcast market has grown, the multitude of different technologies available, and the IT and AV expertise needed to be successful. Most organizations already have great AV and IT departments, but in order to leverage the benefits to webcasting, everyone must understand the applications, the solutions and what's required to produce a great event. This session will begin by briefly defining the webcast space, position webcasting among complementary technologies such as video conference and web-conferencing, and conclude by detailing the requirements and expertise needed for executing a successful webcast.
