Users can benefit from a more affordable, simpler, and easier to manage SAN solution
(Geneva, Switzerland--April 2, 2008) Tiger Technology Sarl, developer of high performance, affordable storage area networking (SAN) and workgroup management software solutions, today announced the immediate availability of metaSAN 3.0 which includes support for Mac OS X Leopard, as well as the launch of a time-limited “Switch to metaSAN” program targeting Xsan users.

metaSAN provides equivalent file-level sharing capabilities and performance. But unlike Xsan that uses a proprietary file system, metaSAN relies on the native HFS+ file system that every Mac user is familiar with. With metaSAN, the maintenance of the SAN volume is very similar to that of a local drive.

Xsan 1.x users who want to upgrade to Xsan 2.0 will be charged the full amount again by Apple. By switching to metaSAN 3.0 by June 30th 2008 at a special price of MSRP $795 USD in the Americas (€635 outside of the Americas), Xsan users will save on the licenses themselves, but also on recurrent support and maintenance costs. Their infrastructure, performances and workflow flexibility remains unchanged.

Pricing and Availability
Existing metaSAN users are eligible to a no-charge 3.0 upgrade if ALL their site licenses are covered under the Tiger Subscription or have been purchased after January 1st 2007. End users should request their no-charge 3.0 upgrade or purchase Subscription through their Tiger reseller.
The special “Switch to metaSAN” program is available to all Xsan users through established Tiger resellers. Proof of purchase for at least an equal number of Xsan licenses is required to benefit from this special offer. Orders must be received by June 30th 2008.
