(Santa Monica, California--April 1, 2008) POP Sound Mixer Peter Rincon added the final thrill to a new action-packed Range Rover Spot entitled "Set Free." The new commercial for Young & Rubicam/Irvine broke in mid-March, and will continue to air throughout the spring.
"Set Free" takes viewers on a sporting adventure, traversing from the depths of the sea, cliffs and caves, and frozen barren lakes. Touting the tagline "Designed For The Extraordinary," the spot showcases the Range Rover Sport alongside fearless sportsmen: a base jumper, a free diver and an ice-boater. The spot begins with a montage sequence of the men mentally preparing for their daring acts. When the Range Rover engine revs up, the action heats up; the sportsmen dive, jump, and peel-off, respectively. Now, the Range Rover is speeding through the spiraling desert mountain roads. The spot culminates when the parachute is deployed and the ice boat hits peek speed. Suddenly, the screen fades to black, reading the line "Have You Ever."
