News: JVC Promotes Edgar Shane To General Manager, Engineering

(Wayne, New Jersey--March 10, 2008) JVC Professional is pleased to announce the promotion of Edgar Shane to General Manager, Engineering. With more than 20 years of experience in industrial electronics design and product development, Shane leads a team of Product Managers working on new product launches, HDTV workflow solutions development, training and sales support.

Prior to being named General Manager, Engineering, Shane was Senior Product Manager for JVC's Display Products division. In this position, Shane worked closely with JVC factories on new product development, market positioning and competitive analysis. He also played an important role in new product launch initiatives to coincide with marketing efforts and training and sales support.

"I am confident that Edgar will provide strong leadership and direction as our new general manager of engineering."

Shane's extensive knowledge of software and applications has helped JVC leverage its involvement in the NLE systems arena. Throughout his career, Shane has successfully managed third-party vendor relationships and the outsourcing of custom JVC components to support JVC products.

After completing his MSEE in 1986, Shane worked as a design engineer specializing in digital video and computer interfaces. He joined JVC in 1997 as a Field Service Manager for JVC Service & Engineering Company of America (JSCA) and was quickly promoted to Engineering Instructor. In 2001, Shane joined JVC Professional as Product Manager, Display Products. Shortly after, he was appointed Senior Product Manager, Display Products / Workflow solutions.
