Adds 2k DI & Grading

(Stockholm, Sweden--22 October, 2007) Digital Vision, the premier supplier of picture enhancement systems for film and television post-production announced today that New York's Final Frame Post is the latest facility to adopt its resolution independent Film Master DI/grading and finishing system.

The company brought in the new system (and an accompanying Data Conform station) to extend its film and television finishing service offering to include final color and picture enhancing, and digital intermediates in any format and resolution.

Final Frame has established a reputation for high-quality finishing work on documentaries and programming for clients including the National Geographic Channel, the History Channel, A&E and HBO, and independent films including No End in Sight, Murderball, and God Grew Tired of Us. They brought the new Film Master system into service to grade the short film Les Vulnerables and the independent feature The Missing Person. The next project slated for DI and grading on the Film Master is an independent film Sleep Dealer.

The new Film Master system has been installed on the company's Storage Area Network, enabling Final Frame to conform and grade projects in parallel, while support for broadcast media and metadata exchange including AAF compositions, MXF media and Apple QuickTime as well as codecs such as Avid DNxHD media give them the ability to color grade and finish file-based media edited on Avid and Final Cut Pro systems natively, without transcoding or playing to VTR tape.

Will Cox, Final Frame co-owner and lead online editor, said, "Moving into full DI and high-end color grading were the next logical steps in our expansion. When we evaluated potential systems, we found that Film Master offered not only top-notch grading tools, but an open architecture that none of the other systems could provide. It fit right into our workflow, and can grade Avid and Final Cut media natively, which gives us incredibly fast turnaround."

Digital Vision president and COO, Simon Cuff, said, "Final Frame recognised the flexibility that Film Master offers a facility. The New York market covers such a diversity of projects including documentaries, independent film and TV spots. Film Master can add the finishing touches and really create stunning pictures no matter where the source has originated from. "

Digital Vision provides innovative image restoration, enhancement, colour correction and data conforming systems that major movie studios, television networks and post-production facilities use to produce and enhance feature films, TV programs and commercials. The company's Nucoda product line provides a strong suite of products for tapeless and non linear grading for SD & HD broadcast and 2k/4k digital intermediate productions. The company's award-winning products are a standard of the media and entertainment industry and are deployed at top facilities and broadcasters around the world.

Digital Vision AB was founded in 1988 and is headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden, with two wholly owned subsidiaries, Digital Vision (US) in Los Angeles, California, and Digital Vision UK in London, England. The company maintains its global presence through a network of qualified distributors. Digital Vision is listed on the Stockholm stock exchange.
