News: Vinten Radamec's Fusion Family Expands with New Bolt-On Height Drive
by Cow News Droid on Aug 7, 2007 at 7:24:03 pm

(August 7, 2007) Vinten Radamec, a Vitec Group brand and leading provider of robotic broadcast systems, announces the availability of the FBH-175 Fusion Bolt-On Height Drive, designed to provide robotic control of the manual height mechanisms of the Vinten Osprey Elite and Pro Ped pedestals, as well as the Sachtler Combi Ped.

With a maximum payload of 175 lbs, the FBH-175 easily supports Vinten Radamec Fusion robotic heads and professional portable video cameras, lenses and prompters. The system provides up to 35.4 inches of vertical travel with broadcast-quality and on-shot smoothness at speeds of from .4 inches to 4 inches per second.

As a Vinten Radamec Fusion product, the FBH-175 integrates with Fusion controllers and works seamlessly with the Fusion pan and tilt heads. Combining the height drive with Vinten Radamec’s FHR-100 Robotic Head and a Vinten or Sachtler lightweight manual pedestal provides a low-cost three-axis robotic camera support, while markedly increasing the versibility of studio applications.

The Height Drive is mounted at the base of the pedestal and can be quickly deactivated to allow manual control of the vertical positioning of the pedestal. The smooth movement produced by the height drive matches the performance of the pedestal under full manual control, enabling on shot movement as well as high speed repositioning.

The FHR-175 Fusion Bolt-On Height Drive is available directly from Vinten Radamec. For more information, see: http://www.vintenradamec.com or 845-268-0100
