Broadcast Engineering Bestows Pick Hit Award in Recognition for Innovative Technology

(IRVINE, CA-- May 29, 2007) Sonnet Technologies, a leader in storage systems for professional users, is the proud winner of the coveted Broadcast Engineering Pick Hit award presented at the recent National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) 2007 electronic media show.

Sonnet received the accolade for its new line of SATA disk array storage systems.

Noted as the industry’s longest running new technology awards, the Pick Hit Award is presented in recognition of the most innovative technology demonstrated at NAB2007. A Pick Hit Award is significant in that an anonymous team of working professionals in the broadcast, post-production, network and satellite industries, who are Broadcast Engineering readers, selects winners.

“Sonnet has long been a technology leader providing high-performance host bus adapters, and we are thrilled that the NAB attendees are also excited about our latest products,” said Robert Farnsworth, Sonnet CEO.

About Fusion D800RAID 8-drive and Fusion D400RAID 4-drive SATA storage systems:
Fusion D800RAID and D400RAID are complete storage systems designed for use in film and video editing, and professional broadcast applications. With drives formatted as a RAID 0 set, the D800RAID is capable of single-stream 2K (2048 x 1556) LOG RGB capture/playback. With drives formatted as a RAID 5 protected set, both systems are capable of single-stream uncompressed 1080 HD capture/playback and multiple-stream capture/playback of numerous other formats. Available in configurations from 2 to 6TB, Fusion RAID systems offer broad software and hardware support. They feature quiet enclosures housing hot-swappable drive modules equipped with Enterprise/RAID edition SATA drives. Each Fusion RAID system boasts a potent Intel® 348 RAID processor-based RAID controller with 256MB of onboard ECC-protected RAM. This PCI Express® card supports RAID 0, 1, 4, 5, 10, 50, DV RAID, and JBOD configurations, and is powered by ATTO RAID technology.

About Fusion D500P 5-drive SATA Storage Systems with Port Multiplier:
Fusion D500P desktop SATA storage systems offer unparalleled direct-connect performance for SATA II drives, and broad software and hardware support. With drives configured as a RAID 0 striped set, these storage systems achieve 240MB/sec data transfers, fast enough to support a single stream of uncompressed 10-bit 1080HD video, or multiple streams of DV, HDV, DVCPRO, or uncompressed SD video. Up to four Fusion D500Ps can be ganged on a Sonnet Tempo™ SATA E4P or X4P for double, triple, or even quadruple the performance. Each Fusion D500P system features a quiet enclosure housing hot-swappable drive modules equipped with a total of 2.5 or 3.75TB Enterprise/RAID edition SATA drive storage. Port multiplier technology assures single cable to host connection simplicity.

About Fusion D400Q and R400Q 4-drive SATA Storage Systems with Quad Interface:
The desktop Fusion D400Q and the 1U rackmount Fusion R400Q SATA storage systems offer unparalleled performance and flexibility, connectable to virtually any computer via any one of four industry-standard interfaces–eSATA, FireWire 800, FireWire 400, or USB 2.0. When connected via eSATA to a Sonnet Tempo SATA E4P PCIe or X4P PCI-X adapter and with drives configured as a RAID 0 striped set, these storage systems achieve 200MB/sec data transfers, fast enough to support multiple streams of DV, HDV, DVCPRO, or uncompressed SD video. Connected via a single FireWire 800, FireWire 400, or USB cable, all four drives can be accessed at the full speed of the respective interface. Each Fusion 400Q system features a compact enclosure housing hot-swappable drive modules equipped with a total of 2 or 3TB Enterprise/RAID edition SATA drive storage. Port multiplier technology assures single cable to host connection simplicity, regardless the interface used.
