News: Digital Heaven releases Multicam Lite 1.03 at a new lower price of $99
by Cow News Droid on Dec 2, 2005 at 5:00:32 pm

(LONDON, UK -2 December 2005) Digital Heaven (www.digital-heaven.co.uk), one of the leading creators of software for Apple's pro apps, today announced the release of Multicam Lite v1.03 at the new price of just US$99 (previously US$295).

"When we announced Multicam Lite just over a year ago, it was the first software-based realtime multicam solution for the Mac. Since then Final Cut Pro 5 has been released but many users remain on version 4 and still have a requirement for multicam editing. Our customers continually tell us how much they enjoy using Multicam Lite and with the new lower price, more people than ever will be able to join them." - Martin Baker, Managing Director.

Multicam Lite is a standalone Mac OS X application which works in conjunction with Final Cut Pro (v4.1 and later) for the input and output of sequences via XML files. With its innovative and streamlined interface, Multicam Lite makes it easier than ever to cut up to three cameras in real time. DV, DVCPRO25 or OfflineRT source clips can be directly used by the software and there are comprehensive trimming and camera swapping features built in. When the cut is finished, the XML file is imported back into FCP where all the cuts are automatically recreated ready for further effects work or output.

Pricing and availability:
The software is available now for download purchase from the Digital Heaven online store at http://www.digital-heaven.co.uk for US$99. A demo version is also available which offers full functionality but does not allow saving of XML files.

About Digital Heaven
Digital Heaven was founded in 2000 by ex-BBC Resources editor Martin Baker. For almost six years we provided broadcast post production facilities for clients such as the BBC, Channel Four and many independent production companies. In Summer 2003 we became the first London facility to make the switch from Avid editing systems to Apple'’s Final Cut Pro. At the same time we started software development, releasing our first product, EDL Mirror in September 2003. Since then we have added 12 Final Cut Plug-ins and Multicam Lite, the first multicamera editing solution for Final Cut Pro.
