New solutions include Final Effects Complete AVX, Continuum Complete and Media 100 sw
(Boston, MA - October 25, 2005) Boris FX, the leading developer of integrated effects technology for video and film, will showcase new solutions including Final Effects Complete AVX, Continuum Complete version 4.0 and Media 100 sw at NAB Post+ Production Show.
The NAB Post+ Production Show takes place November 15-17 at the Javits Convention Center in New York, New York. The latest Boris FX solutions will be demonstrated at booth 204.
Version 4.0 of Boris Final Effects Complete AVX (FEC AVX) will debut at NAB Post+ 2005. FEC AVX is a collection of native filters and transitions that streamline workflow for Avid® editors. More than 100 sophisticated effects animate directly in the Avid Effect Editor window. Version 4.0 supports all Avid systems running on the AVX 1.0 architecture. This release is for Windows only. A future release will add support for Macintosh systems. The simplicity of the filters, combined with the native Avid interface, reduces the learning curve to virtually zero. Most filters feature less than a dozen parameters; only a few simple adjustments are required to create totally unique organic effects.
Boris Continuum Complete (BCC) version 4.0 will also be demonstrated. BCC is a suite of plug-in filters and transitions that work in the native interface of Adobe® After Effects®, Adobe Premiere Pro®, Apple® Final Cut Pro®, Apple® Motion®, Autodesk® Combustion® and Boris Red® systems. More than 160 sophisticated filters include Lens Flare, Glint, DeGrain, Match Grain, Glow, DeNoise, DeInterlace, Optical Flow, and Motion Blur. In addition to updated host and operating system support, version 4.0 adds improved motion tracking and a Motion Key technology that removes moving foreground objects based on motion estimation. Other new filters include Optical Stabilizer, Corner Pin Tracker, Halftone, Median, Color Match and an OpenGL-accelerated 3D Extruded Image Shatter. The recently released Boris Continuum Complete AVX version 4.1, a similar filter set for Avid® systems, will also be shown.
The third product debut is Media 100 sw. Media 100 sw makes the easy-to-learn Media100 interface available as a software-only companion to your other Media 100 systems. Media 100 sw uses media captured by Media 100i or Media 100 HD systems to edit, composite, mix and export to DVD or web. Media 100 sw currently does not capture or output to tape, but all the other functionality of the Media 100 HD is included. Media 100 sw allows existing Media 100 users to add an affordable software-only NLE to their current workflow.
