Blender for After Effects forum proposal
by Paolo Ciccone on Oct 28, 2009 at 7:02:54 pm

Hello.
I hope I am in the right area for forum suggestions.
3D and compositing is becoming a really popular topic. A lot of MoGraph artists are in search of a solution for integrating 3D elements in their composition. We have forums for C4D, Maya, 3DStudio but not for Blender, which is unusual given the accessibility of this great modeler.

Last week I did a presentation of "Blender for After Effects" at our regular meeting of the San Francisco MoGraph Group. See http://www.sfmograph.org/SFMOGRAPH/Guest_01.html
We had about 200 people in the audience, pretty much filling up the space given to us by Adobe.

People were definitely interested and I received some really positive feedback afterward, which confirmed that there is interest for a 3D solution that uses Blender.

So here is my proposal. The COW is the ideal place for a forum dedicated to using Blender with After Effects and/or other compositing programs. Is there any interest in this and is so, what is the correct procedure for starting it?

Best.
