Specialist in medical education and training, surgical video production, distance learning, multimedia based education, project management.
I dabble in book publishing, website design and DIY projects.
System Details: PC - Core 2 Duo laptop and i7 desktop. Adobe Encore, Premiere, Photoshop, AE. One cannot forget the useful office software, as everything starts with a written document!
Back in the old days the editing system ran on DOS 3.0 if that matters to you. It matters to me, I still have all the floppy disks with my EDL's. If only I had a floppy disk drive :)
Home Theater: Samsung LCD tv and upconverting DVD player. These days I watch a lot of videos online. In fact our new laptop connects to the LCD via HDMI - Netflix and Hulu get my money over cable any day.
Home Studio Musical Gear: Does an iPod count as home musical gear? Although I took a year of guitar lessons, it didn't take. I'm pretty good at playing the drums on my car dashboard.
Hobbies and Interests: Interests outside of video include video, photography and photo editing, fine dining and cooking and of course watching funny videos online.
Favorite Books / Authors: In the Blink of an Eye, Freakonomics, The Way Things Work, The Lost Symbol, Killing Frequency, The White Prison
Favorite Bands / Musicians: U2, Kings of Leon, Coldplay
Favorite Movies: Empire Strikes Back, Dark Knight, In Harm's Way, 2001, Star Trek IV, The Thin Red Line, Saving Private Ryan, ET
Favorite TV Shows: 24, Lost, Gray's Anatomy (sure it's sappy but it's medical), Kitchen Nightmares, Good Eats, Lie to Me
Comments and Things Worth Noting: Look at the big picture no matter what you do.

Re: It's not professional... by Mike Cohen on Oct 7, 2009 at 10:33:42 am in the Business & Marketing Forum I just innovated a stabilizing rig for my Blackberry. Especially useful for use in the kitchen. Someone call Alton Brown.

Editing at 35,000 Feet by Mike Cohen 182 Views Editing In-flight was so popular, I decided to kick things up a notch.
