[peter dunphy] "lighting field rendering motion blur frame blending" These are options you need to use when you know why you want to use them. If you have lights on in your scene, you want to render them....

I like Justin's approach, read his post several times so you understand the nuances. I don't use CS4 for editing, I use Final Cut and we do all of our lower thirds using a collection of templates created in Apple's...

Motion's performance is mostly not about RAM and your research is contradictory to what all of our brains tell us should be happening. The card will give you the most muscle for this rev of Motion and this OS. But...

They are capable of seeing and using different types of font files. Yours does not adhere to some weird Apple-specific (one might say Apple-snobbish) file construction. Boris is more lenient and will vectorize almost any typeface you can load into...

There's even a section int he manual on how to move between AE and other external systems. You don't need Animation except to carry alpha. You don't automatic duck unless you expect to move the entire FCP sequence to AE. This...

Not a problem, Todd, I assume we all have a great deal of respect for each other behind the scenes regardless of our public posts and responses to each other's posts. No offense taken by me at all, and none was intended for you. Still, I understand how easily electronic posts can be misunderstood. I only use words like umbrage when I have an excuse to poke some fun at the thread's course. How many folks will look it up?
I completely understand personality quirks. Even if it's a difficult illusion to maintain, the grace of your public persona is tangible; an immeasurable skill, Todd. Hope your boss appreciates the respect Adobe gets from your patient presence.

I was concerned about your "umbrage". I didn't mean to imply that you weren't providing valuable information in the posts in which you answer the repetitive questions. I just don't understand why you don't take the more efficient route of linking to the last time that you or someone else answered the same question.

Oh, and regarding my lack of flexibility to be an offensive jerk: You likely have no idea how hard this is for me. In real life, I am notorious for my lack of patience with willful ignorance. Posting on forums in a gracious manner is... um... great exercise.
