Creative COW - Jason Porthouse

OK - I'm a jobbing editor and director who works across a whole variety of genres. Been doing it for about 20 years now (yikes), picked up an Emmy along the way, so I guess I must be doing something right. I enjoy all sorts of work, so long as I'm working with nice people. As I get older, my tolerance for stupidity/attitude/snobbery/general ponciness gets lower!!

Hobbies and Interests: Free time - what free time? Well, when I do get some I potter in the garden, like to walk round the beautiful Somerset countryside, like to tear round said countryside on a motorbike, and if money allows, fly over said countryside in the homebuilt plane I own along with 5 other fools.

Ryan, Reading your original and subsequent posts I think you've got a fundamental misunderstanding going on here. Capturing from any camera, whether DV or HDV, over firewire, uses FW400 protocol and speed. Nothing you can do will improve this, or...
