Here's a chart which shows you the sustained data rate needed from your array to successfully play various codecs. And here's an app from AJA that will measure the data rate of whatever drive you point it at....

It sounds like you had your media files on your system drive. If so, never do that. Media must always be on a non-system drive. It can be a second internal drive or an external. I don't know if that...

Up until a version (or so) ago, Flash Player would only play flv codecs. Then Adobe incorporated the h.264 codec and the flv extension could be attached to those files (change .mov to .flv). So now, you can use Compressor...

Changing the .mov extension of an h.264 encode to .flv definitely works. If the file size is too large, decrease the data rate in Compressor. I still like the On VP6 codec in Flash Encoder or Sorenson Squeeze which we...
