Just doing some time remapping with the new compressor with 23.976 footage that was captured on FCP7.
Even though the frame rate in Compressor was set to 'current', compressor tagged the resulting movie as 23.97 (not 23.976) and caused weird issues...

It's because you don't have enough handles in the clip. Try trimming the head off of a clip (at least a second) I bet you can put a transition. The first answer you got was correct.

interlace means that that first the odd lines are written 1,3,5,7,9.....
and after that the even lines in a second run 2,4,6,8,10.....
In Pal this happens 50 times a second producing 25 complete frames per second.

Just be aware that with iShowU, it doesn't record TC to the QT file...so if you edit the clip, and then export, the export DOES NOT RECOGNIZE the editing you have done...it just plays the clip, unedited (except for audio)...
