Turn on the clip overlays in the lower left corner of the timeline window. Looks like a line graph. Then use the pen tool in the line that will appear in the audio clips in your sequence... raise and lower...

No it won't... at least it wouldn't on my plasma... it simply removes the black bars and pulls up what's between them full screen.
