In 1080 mode, the camera will actually record interlaced. The 25p is framerate. What happens is, the camera records to tape at 1080/50i and adds the 25fps pull-down automatically. And yes, set the shutter to 'half' to get an accurate...

Definitely use the half-shutter when shooting 24. Without it, you get way too much blur. True film cameras do the same thing as the mirror rotates when exposing. I also use half when shooting 30 fps if you are getting too...
