Maya was born in Warsaw, Poland and lived the first 5 years of her life on a
Zen Buddhist compound in Jelenia Gora.

In 1985, she came to the United States
where she currently lives and works as a Multi-Media Designer in New York City.

She has been drawing since a child, and started to paint in oils at the age of 7.
In elementary school she attended a program for artistically gifted children
and in middle school attended drawing classes at the Museum of Fine Arts in
Boston, MA on full scholarship. In high school she became very involved in photography,
and was asked to be the sole artist presented in her school yearly literary journal.

In 2007 she recieved her B.A. from Emerson College in Film Production and
New Media. She has been working as a freelance Multi-Media Designer,
combining her knowledge of film and video editing, graphic design, animation
and web design for both small and large companies including Image Media Inc.,
Howcast Media, and The Americana Project.

As an artist, she has been
combining her drawings, writings, photographs and videos into multi-textured
media installations. She still continues to draw and paint, and often
combines these mediums into her video pieces. Her enthusiasm for people,
technology, and art has persisted throughout her life, and drives her to
continually explore new ways of seeing, whether through eye, touch,
word or experience.
