chris gorman - Creative COW

I've been in the field since 1991, and have been editing with FCP since v.1, run my own production company and wear all hats. I hire other shooters as needed and I'm available as a shooter with my Sony Z1U.

Primarily working in ProRes 422 8bit from hdv footage.

System Details: PowerMacG5 DP2.3, 3.5GB Ram, X800XT graphic card, Sonnet Fusion 5 Bay serial port muliplier with Firmtek card.

Deck: currently use my Z1U. I still have my Sony DSR-20 DVCAM deck for those rare times when I get dv footage.

Hobbies and Interests: Despite the fact that I don't have time for a hobby, I couldn't resist starting a small organic vegetable garden recently, in a nearby community garden. I've always been amazed at the fact that you can put little seeds in the ground and food appears - how cool!

The garden is next to a field where all sorts of interesting wild things live. As a break from editing it's nice to hang out and work in the garden and watch the living things scurrying by and listening to all their sounds instead of sounds of traffic. How great it is to live in a city and still have a place to go and commune with nature this way.
