There is no recorder version of this machine. I could have sworn I saw one when I was first investigating this machine 6 months ago for around 35k, but never saw it again.
I paid either 11,500 or 11,800 through b&h photo. prior to purchasing this deck I was pricing out a used dbeta player only for 11k, so this is a great deal. awesome machine that has been in almost daily use now for 2 months.
Sony has now come out with an "HD" version of this deck for around $22 or $25k. It plays back various formats of HD.
