Nate,
I'm confident that as long as you keep your date and time set correctly you should be okay (for the time being).
That's not to say this date bug isn't causing other problems. Apparently it messes with the Power Management Unit (PMU) in the systems it affects. For example your PRAM battery which usually lasts three to five years could be completely drained (and useless) in a matter of hours.
There have been reports from PowerBook owners of battery drain increasing exponentially to the point of being unable to run the computer for more than a few minutes on a full battery charge. Other users have reported PowerBook batteries actually being trashed - to the point they needed to be replaced after the owners reverted back to 10.2.3.
There have also been random reports of Energy Saver settings suddenly disappearing for no reason. This could dramatically affect the performance of an NLE if not detected and corrected. If you continue running 10.2.4 keep an eye out for these manifestations. Or do like I did, and take an afternoon to revert you're system back to 10.2.3 (build 6G30).
