Huge Systems with HD in OSX- initial playback tests good

In speaking with Huge system, they suggested I reformat my drive so no single partition is larger than 1000 gigs, and so far looping a 3 min edit has played back for 20 minutes with no dropped frames reported.

However the cinewave disk utility reports read speeds of 150 megs/sec and write speeds of 120 megs/sec.

If this is accurate I may end up dropping frames on capture- but since I have no HD source to test with, I won;t know until I begin a project. I guess I could always capture in 9 and work in X if I have drops on captures

Hi Bart, we tested capture and it works real good. Full capture/playback at 1080i 29.97. Specifically, so far we've tested our latest and largest 1.8TeraByte HMV-1800-DM, the 1.2TB HMV-1200-DM, and the smaller 400TB HMV-400-DM.
