Hi,

Anyone know if it is possible to play a Quicktime file rendered in the None codec format (with or without alpha channel) in Quicktime Player through the Cinewave hardware ?

So far the only way I can get it to play is in FCP by setting the timeline to None codec. I'm just trying to find a way to play without having to go into FCP.

Interesting enough, I played a None codec clip (without alpha) in Quicktime 5.0 and it played through the Cinewave hardware and viewed it on a video monitor. The same clip played in Quicktime 5.0.2 only playback on the computer monitor...strange huh ?

I only thought it was possible to play a Targa codec file through the Quicktime player out to video. Sounds like you were able to do it though is QT 5 so that's kind of interesting.
